Our CPS Magnet School, Hawthorne Scholastic Academy, has more than 500 students
and a very active parent community who live in Chicago neighborhoods all across the
city. On March 10, 2023, Hawthorne will throw its annual fundraiser and gala to
celebrate our community, our students, and our teachers while raising funds to support
our wonderful school!
Hawthorne’s annual gala will host more than 250 parents, teachers, staff and friends of
Hawthorne for a night of cocktails, food stations, entertainment, and an auction at
Artifact Events in the Ravenswood neighborhood. The PTA is proud to keep this
evening free for all parents and friends to attend. We invite you to be a part of our event
by making a tax-deductible donation of a product or service to the silent auction. Our
monetary goal for Hawthorne’s Gala is $200,000.
We are so grateful to all our sponsors and donors. We believe that donating to
Hawthorne’s Annual Gala will be tremendous advertising for your business. As a thank
you for partnering with us, we will give you special acknowledgement at the event, on
the school’s website and social media and on the event website, where all attendees must
go to RSVP to the event and bid on all the wonderful action items.
The money raised at the event helps our PTA support the school and administration with
their critical needs. We cover staff positions to ensure smaller classroom sizes to help
with specific instruction around literacy and math. We assist with technology in the
classrooms, an Arts Partnership program for each grade, and assist with field trips and
sports teams as needed. We try to get as much donated as possible to keep our gala
expenses low so all money raised can go back to the school.
The Hawthorne students, teachers and families are the beneficiaries of your
generosity, and we are forever grateful for your support. Your donation will make a
