Our mission is to provide and expand access to free, high quality and comprehensive, primary and preventive health care for low income, medically uninsured individuals in the Brazos Valley. We strive to improve community health and reduce the cost of indigent health care by providing an alternative to the emergency room for low income, medically uninsured patients.
Health For All is a nonprofit, free clinic that provides primary and preventative medical care for low income, medically uninsured in the Brazos Valley region of Texas. We provide free doctor visits, pharmaceuticals, specialist exams, lab tests, X-rays, chronic disease management education and counseling services to low income patients in the Brazos Valley who do not have health insurance and do not qualify for government programs such as Medicaid, Medicare or County Indigent funds. We provide over 4,000 patient visits each year, and annually save the region between 3 and 6 million dollars in taxpayer savings by providing an alternative to expensive emergency room visits that often must go left unpaid. Because of our large network of volunteers and partners, we are able to provide care at a much lower cost than is available through traditional ER departments. We are also able to provide continuous care, which allows patients to seek care as needed, rather than waiting until conditions reach a critical point and being required to seek out expensive care through a hospital.
The uninsured are much less likely to seek out care, and are more likely to die from curable conditions. Of the estimated 357,000 residents in the Brazos Valley, approximately 89,000 are medically uninsured. Health For All is a safe haven for the most vulnerable in our community; making it possible for our neighbors in need to get essential care, return to work, care for their families, and maintain their independence.
