For nearly a century, we have been dedicated to breaking down communication barriers and empowering individuals and families with the tools they need to thrive. What began in 1925 as the Cincinnati League for the Hard of Hearing has grown into a legacy of advocacy, excellence, and inclusion.

From pioneering the introduction of audiologists and speech-language pathologists in Cincinnati to shaping the future of communication sciences at the University of Cincinnati, our impact has been profound. Decade after decade, we’ve stood beside those facing communication challenges—whether through early childhood education, innovative therapies, or direct support for individuals and families. Today, we proudly serve over 1,500 neighbors each year at our three Greater Cincinnati offices.

But there is still so much more to do. Too many in our community face communication or sensory disorders without access to the care they need. With your support, we can expand vital healthcare services to those living with financial hardship, ensuring that no one is left without a voice.

On April 24th, we invite you to a special evening of reflection, inspiration, and hope. Together, we’ll celebrate the lives we’ve touched, experience the power of communication through interactive activities, and share a vision for the future of HSDC. Join us as we honor our history and take the next steps toward a world where everyone has the opportunity to be heard.
