Since 2001 the mission of Heartland Chamber Music is to connect, engage, and inspire students of all ages through a lifetime of music education and performance.
Heartland Chamber Music has created a model that presents a distinctive breadth
of music education programs and is unique in the Kansas City region. The summer
festival faculty includes many Kansas City Symphony musicians. Our programs
benefit both the musicians and children we serve while fostering a new audience
base to nurture the future of the arts in our communities.
Through our String Sprouts KC program, we enrich the lives of young children by providing music instruction and increasing instrument access for pre-k and elementary aged school children in
underserved areas to bridge the academic opportunity gap. The program is provided completely free of charge to families.
