The Heartwood Foundation is a non-profit established to support the values and mission of
Head, Heart, and Hands. Head, Heart and Hands provides Waldorf nature immersion classes
for homeschooling families in Kindergarten through 6th grades. Now in its second year, the
mission is to offer children an individualized educational experience that creates opportunities to
find their talents and passions. The children in our program have the amazing and unique
opportunity to learn 100% outside, therefore feeding their spirit in an innovative and organic
learning environment. Head, Heart and Hands depends on income from events and fundraisers
to fund our operations to make needed improvements on the land, and investments into teacher
training which all enhance the children’s learning experience.
