Our Mission: Helix works to develop transferable skills for students’ futures through real-world learning in partnership with communities. 
 

We envision a world where students are equipped to understand, partner, and solve problems within their communities. 

Helix collaborates with educators to help them achieve critical social and emotional outcomes in their students through a variety of hands-on and project-based lesson plans, activities, and workshops. All Helix materials are tested with our lab school partners in Chicago and then adjusted to the specific needs of each program and class.

In 2023, Helix served over 300 K-12 students in Chicago and Washington, with over 90% of students being English Language Learners, diverse learners, or from a low-income background.
