Help-A-Heart is a non-profit organization that provides emothional support and financial assistance to Iowa families affected by Congenital Heart Defects. We were founded in 2006 by 2 moms whose children had been hospitalized with heart surgeries. Our support group meets monthly in person and virtually to support the over 400 Iowa families who are connected to our organization. We also have a bereavement team meets and holds events and support groups for our 'Angel Families'.
We offer financial support in cash or gift card assistance to families whose Heart Hero is facing a lengthy hospitalization.
