Helping Restore Ability (HRA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently and with dignity in their own homes. Our mission is to bridge the gap in access to essential care by providing in-home assistance tailored to each individual's needs. We believe that everyone, regardless of ability, deserves the opportunity to lead a fulfilling life within their community. To achieve this, HRA delivers high-quality personal assistance services, connecting people with trained caregivers who provide vital support with daily living activities. Our focus goes beyond mere caregiving; we aim to create meaningful partnerships that foster autonomy and enrich lives.
HRA primarily serves low to moderate-income individuals with disabilities across Texas. We cater to a broad spectrum of needs, from children requiring assistance to stay on track with essential health programs to adults seeking critical services like our new Oral Health program, which offers free dental care in Dallas County. By addressing gaps in care through innovative initiatives and strategic partnerships, HRA is shaping a future where systemic barriers are removed, and everyone has access to the resources they need. Our work not only directly benefits individuals but also advocates for systemic changes, such as lobbying for extended dental care coverage for adults with disabilities. This dual approach ensures that we are meeting immediate needs while paving the way for long-term, equitable solutions.
