The mission of the Henderson County United Way is to aid local agencies’ health and human services agenda by engaging residents, corporate citizens, and other stakeholders in sustained collaborative efforts to strengthen and improve conditions in the Henderson County area. In support of this mission, Henderson County United Way seeks to help increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another.

Established in 1983, Henderson County United Way operates the Henderson County HelpLine/211 service
and Help Center that is dedicated & focused on improving the well-being of all citizens in Henderson County,
Texas. Henderson County United Way (HCUW) supports the work of 17 local nonprofit Partner Agencies that
"united" together make a tremendous impact on education, health, and financial stability in our community.
HCUW also operates the Ride United programs: Ride United Last Mile Delivery,
Ride United PET, and Ride United Transportation Access; and Youth Outreach programs: Dollars For College United We Game, and Student United Way.

Through the work of our programs and partner agencies, (8973 Children and 45,237 Adults) 54,210
Henderson County residents and their pets (344 dogs, 212 cats, 26 horses, 2 ducks, 2 rabbits) found
assistance from our programs.
