Herizon House is a 30 bed emergency shelter supporting women and children fleeing abuse & violence in Durham region  and the Greater Toronto Area. We provide counselling, housing & legal support, food and clothing support, community outreach & education as well as therapeutic programming for resident children. Our mission statement is: We provide a safe, supportive and empowering environment for abused women and their children. We are committed to promoting equality and through education, working towards a safer community.
