The purpose of the Hicksville Robotics Booster Club is to support the activities and competitions of Hicksville HS Jbirds,FIRST® Robotics Team 1468 and Hicksville MS Lego League teams, the Meteorites, Meteorites Squared and Meteorites Cubed. Our mission is to inspire young people to science and technology leaders by giving them opportunities to experience real life applications in STEM and to inspire innovation through mentor-based programs such as FIRST®
Robotics and Lego League.
The Hicksville Robotics Booster Club will:
1. Fundraise and solicit donations to bring financial support to Hicksville Jbirds FIRST® Robotics Team 1468 and Hicksville MS Lego League teams for Regional Competitions Fees and the various costs associated with being a FIRST® Robotics Team or Lego League team, including but not limited to supplies and parts.
2. Provide support to Hicksville Jbirds, FIRST® Robotics Team 1468 and Lego League teams, as request by Coach, Advisors, Mentors and Administration.
3. Support the team by asking it members to provide meals during build season.
4. Support Scholarships to be given, annually, to a Hicksville Jbirds, FIRST® Robotics Team 1468 team member that is a graduating senior from Hicksville HS, who will be attending a 2 or 4 year college and studying in the areas of science or technology.
