Village Fest 17 is a community-building "fun"raiser event and features student entertainment, robotic demonstrations, games, sports activities, food, raffle, silent auction, student and teacher performances on the VF stage. Proceeds go towards providing materials and resources required to continue the amazing programs at HTHNC schools - our goal is to raise funds for computers, books, field trips, clubs and sports programs, projects, labs, intersession and more.
HTHNC village schools are at the heart of project-based learning and challenge the minds of students to create future leaders, entrepreneurs, engineers, artists and athletes alike. Each semester, students take on extensive projects that combine lessons from math, science and humanities and apply what they are learning to real-world issues. Students take field trips to places that reinforce their curriculum, participate in internship programs to develop working relationships with the community and participate in Intersession - a week dedicated to exploring an area of interest such as oceanography, sports science, film production, volunteering and nutrition.
