The Hobson City Public Library is located in Alabama's first African-American town established in 1899. It is listed as a city in peril because of high poverty, low socio-economic, and lack of adequate business infrastucture.
The Hobson City Public library is committed to promoting access to informtion, reducing barriers to the digital world, facilitation an increase in community involvement, literacy, and academic achievement, as well as promoting access to learning and literary experiences.
Many of our patrons need assistance with utilizing digital services to find resources for business or entertainment, complete applications, and/or submit necessary document to take care of their family needs.
