Hogg Middle School, situated at the heart of the Heights in Houston, is a distinguished International Baccalaureate (IB) World School and a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) magnet institution. We are thrilled to announce that Hogg recently achieved its first-ever A rating from the Texas Education Agency. Our diverse student body represents the future leaders, educators, and innovators of our community and the world.
Established in 2018, the Hogg Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is dedicated to enhancing the experiences of students, teachers, and administrators at our neighborhood school. Our mission is to transform the potential of every child into reality, and we collaborate with various individuals and organizations, including you, to serve and advocate for all children and families.
Over the past five years, the Hogg PTA has contributed over $230,000 to support our students directly. These funds have been used to acquire classroom materials for various subjects, musical instruments, sports uniforms, and to organize evening family events celebrating STEAM, Literacy, Black History, Hispanic Heritage and so much more. In the past year, we have been able to complete significant campus beautification projects - such as painting the auditorium and commissioning inspirational murals around the school. These are just a few examples of what we've accomplished for our school and we are just getting started, the plan is to continue to provide for our teachers and continue to beautify our historic campus.
