okuloa Outrigger Canoe Club will once again host itsannual Ventura Outrigger Challenge race at Harbor Cove Beach in Ventura. This event draws hundreds of men and women paddlers and their families from all over Southern California to spend the day racing 6-person outrigger canoes and enjoying all that Ventura Harbor has to offer.
Over the years, our membership has grown from a small club in 1989 to a membership today of over 80 adult and youth paddlers. We honor the rich Polynesian culture and traditions that are a part of outrigger. Our club alsosupports the local community, offering one of the few competitive water sports in the area.
