Last year Home of the Sparrow directly assisted 596 unique women and children by providing safe, free and affordable housing, and impacted the lives of 1,300 more through community outreach and information. It is our mission to provide Hope, Opportunity and Support that empowers women and children, as they journey from homelessness to self-sufficiency. Through providing short-term transitional housing, affordable housing, rapid re-housing and subsidized apartments, we can ensure that these deserving families have a safe place to rest and grow. Additionally, we offer a host of services ranging from case management to career assistance and training to parenting support and childcare. Approximately 82% of the women exiting our transitional housing successfully obtained permanent housing and the means to care for themselves and their family. Home of the Sparrow cares about these families and we know that you do too! Your gift can make a difference in making lives safer and brighter!
As we begin our fundraising season, we humbly ask you to consider partnering with Home of the Sparrow by providing a donation for our fundraising events. Our Annual Charity Golf Outing, Celebration of Women Luncheon and Black and White Ball Gala benefits these families in need. Our Black and White Ball Gala will feature raffles and online bidding. We anticipate having approximately 200 attendees, and many guests joining us for virtual raffle ticket purchases. This fundraising event is one of our most received events of the year. The donations that we receive for raffle items ensure that Home of the Sparrow can continue to provide safe housing and resources for our families' success!
All donors will receive a tax deductible receipt, as well as, recognition on the day of the event. We also include your information on our registration website (with links to your website and any videos you wish), social media and in our printed materials. With our distribution outlets, we reach a large audience and your organization will be well advertised. We are happy to include any information or brochures that you provide to share with our attendees.
