Our mission is to provide Christian foster homes, while also supporting all foster families, relative caregivers, friends, adoptive families, and anyone else who is raising someone else's biological children. We work with local churches to have monthly events and activities for these families. All the families sit down for a meal. Afterward, the volunteers take the children to play and have structured activities, while the parents spend time together learning about resources, listening to a speaker, having round table discussions, etc. We are also working with local churches to identify these families within their own churches and create a community that wraps around these families to meet their unique needs.
We just started this new focus in May, 2022. We have been serving around 30 adults and 50 children each month, although we have twice that number in our Facebook group, and the number is expected to grow as more families are identified.
