The WINGS Athletic Organization is a  nonprofit organization (EIN: 74-2636969 & Texas Taxpayer Identification Number: 32037892935) that provides charter, private, and homeschooled children, grades K -12, with the opportunity to participate in organized athletics.

WINGS Athletics is a branch of the Homeschool Organization of South Texas (HOST), the largest homeschool organization in the Coastal Bend Area. Our belief is that all children should be given the opportunity to experience the camaraderie, teamwork, and
accountability that comes from playing organized sports.

Unfortunately, homeschool students are not afforded the opportunity to participate in team sports like their public-school counterparts. Public school students are provided with jerseys and other gear (like warmups, bags, and shoes), bus rides to and from events, a clean well-kept gymnasium and field, all at the taxpayer’s expense.

While that is an amazing service, we as taxpayers provide to the children of ourcommunities, some students, particularly homeschooled, private, and charter schooled students, are left with an underwhelming athletic and extracurricular experience.

This donation request is just for our 6-man varsity football department that has a yearly budget of $5,000. Any amount towards that would be greatly appreciated.
