Homework Central mission is empowering students facing structual inequities through academic assistance, family engagement and community services. We partner with San Mateo public schools, we provide afterschool homework assistance, tutoring and family support free of of charge. Our program centers are located at the schools we partner.
The students are refered by their classroom teachers and attend our program daily, right after school school for 2-3 hours, depending on the school. Our centera re staffed by a site coordinator, a site assistant and 2-5 volunteers daily to ensure we can work with each student to complete thier homeowork, elevate their academic skills and grow their confidence to engage and succeed.
