Waolani Judd Nazarene School (WJNS) was founded in 1967 as the educational outreach of Honolulu First Church of the Nazarene (HFCN) and is nestled into the Nu'uanu Valley of Honolulu, Hawai'i on the island of Oʻahu. The original vision developed by HFCN was that every student should have the opportunity to receive a quality education at an affordable rate. It was from this vision, WJNS was formed. In 1967, the school first opened its doors as a preschool with a mere four students in attendance. Emerging from these modest beginnings, today WJNS has blossomed into a school campus, boasting an enrollment average greater than 200 students from preschool through eighth grade, educating with aloha, building service-minded students, and fulfilling its mission of being a place “where faith and learning reflect the character of Christ.”
