The North Attleboro Middle School will be teaming up with the American Heart Association for their 23rd Annual Hoops for Heart event. The purpose of this event is to bring awareness to the importance of physical activity and healthy food choices to children’s health while raising funds for the American Heart Association.
This is not just a school event. It has become a community event! It teaches students to set and achieve goals and discover that they can make a difference. It gives kids the opportunity to work on basketball skills and play exciting skills games such as Hot-Shot Blitz, Top Gun and Quick Hands. It funds critical research and educational programs that fight heart disease and stroke, our nation's No. 1 and No 3 killers. It involves the entire school in a lot of fun!
The North Attleboro Middle school has raised total of $1,341,636.75 over 23 years!!!! 14,879 students from North Attleboro Middle School that have raised funds and participated in Hoops for Hearts. They have been state champions for 21 years in a row. This year’s goal is $71,000.
