Founded in 2011, Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry works with farmers, hunters, 4-H members, meat processors, and hunger relief agencies throughout the state of Indiana to fight food insecurity and increase the nutritional value of food available to those facing it. Our mission is to make a positive impact on the quality of life for Hoosiers by providing nutritious meat to hunger relief agencies within Indiana...One Pound at a Time.

Our vision is to ensure all Hoosiers have access to good quality, nutritious meat (protein) in order to create a stronger, healthier Indiana, as meat is one of the hardest commodities for hunger relief agencies to obtain. We accomplish this through our "Meat" the Need program wherein hunters, farmers, and 4-H donate livestock and deer through local participating meat processors. Donations are processed, packaged, and given to area hunger relief agencies for distribution back into the community in which it was donated. Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry pays all processing fees on these donations so that there is no cost to donors or the agencies receiving meat. The individuals and families that we serve are reached through food banks and other hunger relief agencies whose services are strictly for low-income and poor populations within each county in Indiana.

Since our founding, we have provided over 2 million pounds of meat to hunger relief agencies throughout the state of Indiana.
