The mission of Hope's Gate is to bring hope to orphans, victims of human trafficking and the world's most vulnerable. We do this by offering practical training and mentoring to young people who have been rescued out of, or are at risk of human trafficking or extreme poverty. We teach jewelry and textile making skills to various groups of young people internationally and each person is paid a fair wage for what they make. The items are then sold in Wylie, Texas and all profits then go to an education fund to help many young people go to college or vocational school, which helps break the cycle of poverty and exploitation in their lives. We currently have young artisans in India, Uganda, Thailand, Mexico, Columbia, Azerbaijan, as well as a few local artisans.
