Hope Strengthens Foundation (HSF) is a 501(c)(3) public charity that provides targeted financial support to individuals and families facing life-threatening illness, disability, or recovery from traumatic injuries.
The need for patient support services is on the rise. New and promising treatments and improved early detection methods are contributing to the growing patient population. Concurrently, families’ financial needs have increased and assistance from insurance and other programs often does not fully cover the rising costs associated with prolonged treatment.
This is where HSF steps in. We provide direct, financial support to help eligible families with medical care and specialized equipment, acting as a bridge between immediate needs and longer-term solutions.
HSF has also established successful partnerships with hospital patient service programs, including Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Pediatric Resource Program, Martin-O’Neil Cancer Center, and Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Seacoast Cancer Center. Through these partnerships, we’ve established funds that their care teams can access to deliver patients support for verified needs. This includes short-term accommodations, gift cards for gas/transportation, food, and other out-of-pocket expenditures associated with care.
HSF also seeks to effect long-term change and assist in the training of future healthcare professionals who may not have the financial resources to successfully complete their education. To accomplish this, we have established scholarship programs with Northeastern University Bouvé College of Nursing and the University of New Hampshire College of Health and Human Services to support students with an expressed financial need who are pursuing a career in healthcare.
