HOPE Tutoring is a 501(c)3 nonprofit operating in Arlington, Texas. HOPE's mission is to empower Arlington's 2nd-8th graders to reach their full academic potential through free, individualized tutoring. HOPE Tutoring has been offering free, individualized tutoring to children in Arlington since 1996. We focus our tutoring efforts on children in grades 2-8 who live in low-income households. We pair students with trained volunteers who assist with homework and academic skills building. Our tutoring is offered afterschool at area libraries, churches, and one elementary school as well as virtually. We also offer in-class tutoring at McNutt and Blanton Elementary Schools. During the summer we offer academic summer camps. We consistently see over 75% of our school-year students improving in their grades, and over 75% of our summer campers maintain or improve their academic skills during camp.
