The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) at Hope View Elementary, are reaching out to our larger community for your support. As many of you know, public school funding is not the same as it was when “we were kids”. The fund-raising efforts at Hope View Elementary are the first line of support for the school librarian and music teachers, student field trips and a large part of the school’s STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) program. It also supplies our classrooms with the technology our students need to be competitive and successful, such as smart boards and computers.
This funding directly fuels the curriculums that have helped Hope View achieve its current academic status and receive the following accolades:
• A California Distinguished School
• California Dashboard ranked as “above standards” in Language Arts and Math • 2019 Greatschools.org 9/10 Overall score and 10/10 in Academics
• 2020 NICHE Best Schools Grade A; ranked #2 of the 10 Ocean View Elementary schools
Hope View is also a community of caring. Each month of the school year is designated to support Hope View and the community, with various food/toy drives, initiatives such as Pennies for Patients, and events including beach and campus pride clean up days. Hope View is also the only school in the Ocean View School District to partner with the Guide Dogs of America.
