Hospital Buddies Inc. is a not for profit organization offering on site non-medical companionship to those who have been hospitalized, placed in nursing homes or in rehabilitation facilities. Our mission is to increase independence, feelings of connectedness and positive health outcomes in the sick; as well as to offer jobs to the community. We are Medicare eligible and offer both paid and unpaid volunteer opportunities which are specific to senior citizens and young adults; although open to anyone who would like to offer the gift of their time. We are raising $300,000.00 for our: "Lunch for a Buddy" program which pays for lunch and transportation costs for our volunteers and will greatly appreciate the support of the community.
