Since 1952, the Houston Tennis Association (HTA) has served the greater Houston area by organizing, promoting and advocating amateur tennis and charitable programs in Greater Houston. HTA organizes and administers junior, adult, senior and adaptive leagues and tournaments for all levels of play, exclusively managing leagues and tournaments sanctioned by the United States Tennis Association (USTA). HTA also serves its community and members through charitable programs and scholarships, including the National Junior Tennis and Learning program (NJTL), a free or low-cost youth tennis, educational and life-skills program founded by Arthur Ashe.

Over 10,000 players participate in HTA’s tournaments and leagues annually, and over 6,000 kids participate in the NJTL program each year. HTA remains committed to the mission, as stated in our bylaws: “to grow tennis in the greater Houston community.”
