Established in 1891- the Hudson Valley Humane Society is one of the Nation's eldest animal welfare organizations and is proud to be a private, "no-kill" full service animal welfare organization providing the following functions for our community:
• Humane Law Enforcement
• Animal Rescue
• Animal Shelter
• Adoption
• Owner Surrender
• Strays
• Education Programs
• Turtles of Western Highway
100% of funds donated to the HVHS is dedicated where it is intended, to the animals in our care. The HVHS garners its entire operating budget through voluntary contributions and fund raising; we receive zero dollars from the local tax base and government. The HVHS is volunteer-based.
