The Humane Society of Bay County foster-based animal rescue founded in 1984, that is dedicated to providing a No Kill alternative for the homeless pets of Bay County, Michigan. Our organization serves as an advocate for animals in our community by providing cat and dog foster/adoption programs, Trap-Neuter-Return program, barn cat placement program, low cost spay/neuter, pet food pantry, education programs for adults and children, and much more. We also serve as a resource center for advice and help on all aspects of animal welfare in Bay County and the Great Lakes Bay Area. Our organization serves all residents along with homeless cats, dogs, puppies, and kittens in our community. Community members and pet owners of all ages and income levels have access to and are served by our volunteer staff and programs offered. Since our adoption program began in 2013, we have placed over 5,700 animals in their forever homes and have sterilized/vaccinated over 1,800 feral and community cats.
