Mission
To support and advance the work of counselors as they help students realize their full educational potential, with particular emphasis on the transition from secondary schools to colleges and universities and with attention to access and equality for all students.

Our organization has been highly effective in promoting college awareness and preparation to both students and families.  A small sample of work we do include:

Organizing more than 35 college fairs throughout Chicago and covering the entire state of Illinois serving as many as 150,000 students and families annually.
Meet with state legislators to lobby for educational issues at the local, state and national levels in order to insure access to college for our students.
Fund $10,000 in annual scholarships.
Conduct Financial Aid and Scholarship workshops for families.
Conduct in depth workshops for first generation college students to assist in the college search process.
Provide professional development opportunities for our membership to raise the level of benefit our students receive from their work and service.
