The Icettes have Varsity and JV teams that represent ISD 196. We are a diverse group of approximately 55 skaters from Eagan, Apple Valley, Rosemount, and Eastview High Schools, The School of Environmental Studies, as well as the six district middle schools. We are the only high school figure skating team in Minnesota. Icettes is a great opportunity for skaters to work as a team and to build skills and confidence and gain resilience.
Each season the Icettes participates in local competitions and nationally at the Ice Skating Industry Winter Classic competition. Overall, the team has had strong performances and earned 1st place overall in 2018 and 3rd place overall in 2023 at the Winter Classic. Icettes is a non-profit team and is self-funded. Our goal is to allow anyone to participate, regardless of financial situation. We also have a commitment to community engagement by the team.
We have an annual Ice Show every March for 3 nights and have a raffle to help raise more money for the team.
