Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a bias-free world for children with disabilities through the creation of inclusive playgrounds and educational programs that unite children of all abilities worldwide. Play is learning. When children play, they learn patience, gain self-esteem by trying new skills and gain the social skills needed for life, among so many other benefits. But this rich and powerful resource is closed for many children with disabilities. Whether the barriers are physical or social, many will grow up without being integrated into community and school play spaces. Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration's education program erases these barriers in the communities we serve. Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration has created 75 inclusive playgrounds around the world, with 40 of them in California. Our education and community outreach programs have directly served over 45,000 children in over 250 schools. Our Inclusion Education Program, which allows educators an opportunity to independently facilitate our education program, has been ordered from 65 countries throughout the world. Our free community outreach program, My PlayClub, brings families together at our inclusive playgrounds where children of all abilities are included in play and activities.
