Inland Southern California United Way's mission is to unite people, ideas and resources to empower communities and improve lives. For more than 90 years, we have focused creating, cultivating and implimenting community outreach programs focused on health, education, financial stability and housing for the 430,000 households served annually across the Inland SoCal Region.

The services provided are case management, care coordination, and other assistance for housing, employment, physical and mental health, food and nutrition education, financial stability, and many other needs. We work with residents to get them into public benefits such as CalFresh and Medi-Cal, COVID-19 vaccination appointments, child and adult protective services, and DPSS services. We also operate the Inland SoCal Crisis and Suicide Helpline which answers nearly 5,000 crisis calls regionally, about 10% of which are residents in the City of Riverside.

Our target population includes residents who are historically marginalized, experiencing low-income and/or income and housing crisis, unemployment, lack of transportation, seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities who require individualized resources in disasters and PSPS events, among other community members. By income, 95% of those served have an income level below what is necessary to meet living needs, 27% of whom have zero-income. For those with income, 41% rely on SSI, SSDI, TANF, Disability, or Unemployment. While about 35% are retirement age, only 2% have retirement savings.

ISCUW’s services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to anyone across Riverside and San Bernardino Counties with no cost to the client.
