International Esperanza Project is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit incorporated in Texas. We were founded with a dream to bring hope to people in developing countries and their families who were in need of medical care. We believe a single thread of hope is still a powerful thing.
Thanks to the volunteer efforts of our partners, donors, and medical professionals, IEP aims to make a bigger impact and help as many people in developing countries as possible.
Since its inception, International Esperanza Project has established a strong staff, a large volunteer base, both in the US and in Guatemala, and an ambitious plan for helping impoverished people. In 2017 IEP volunteers performed 144 surgeries, installed 125 smoke-free stoves and clean water filters, and attended 1,640 patients. One exciting new IEP initiative is the School Impact Program, through which entire communities will be transformed by focusing on the health and well-being of what is any community’s most valuable resource – its children.
