IGA is a program within our school system that serves over 250 gifted and high achieving students within our school system. Instead of the traditional pullout program, our academy is designed for student to receive advanced content instruction all day, every day. Literacy has been a focus for us this year, as COVID had a detrimental effect on reading for students nation wide. We purchased the Beanstack incentive reading program this year to encourage reading.
We are currently running a read-a-thon fundraiser through this program to get our community involved in our reading incentive goals. As part of our incentive, we would like to offer Six Flags tickets to our top readers. We believe through encouragement, community involvement, and incentives, we can renew every child's love of reading which is directly linked to school success.
