Itineris is dedicated to our mission of empowering adults on the autism spectrum to live meaningful lives, throughout their lifespan. We envision a world where adults on the autism spectrum can fully share in the life of their communities, with the dignity to choose their own path as they strive to achieve their dreams and goals. We operate on a set of core values and guiding principles that focus on our clients living meaningful days in a healthy, safe environment.
Our programs are concentrated on six tracks: Day Habilitation, Community Development, Employment Services, Personal Supports, Behavioral Supports and Community Living. We also have an art-based program run through our Drew Putzel Arts Foundation.
Over 5 million adults in the United States have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), commonly referred to as Autism. Studies conclude that up to 85% of adults with Autism are not employed and more than 95% of them do not receive appropriate support services. Itineris is one of only five providers in Maryland dedicated to bridging the gap between autistic adults and this support.
