We are reaching out in the hopes that you might be able to help us with our silent auction which coincides with our 11th Annual NEGU Golf Classic in September. This charity event is attended by influential Orange County community members and guests and our online auction reaches thousands of our supporters nationwide.
To give you a bit of background about our foundation, we are the Jessie Rees Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) local public charity, founded by a 12-year old girl named Jessie Joy Rees who was diagnosed with two brain tumors and passed away in January 2012. During her fight, she wanted to try and give kids in the hospital who were in treatment with her some JOY and a message to NEVER EVER GIVE UP (NEGU)! Because of her efforts, our Foundation was born and our mission is to ensure every kid fighting cancer has the support to NEGU! We accomplish our mission by teaming up with amazing donors like yourself, tremendous volunteers, incredible corporations, generous retailers, devoted community groups (Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, schools, churches), compassionate professional/elite athletes and caring sports teams. We all join together to care until there is a cure by sending boosts of JOY to kids through our many JoyJars (including birthday jars, holiday jars, our NEGU Buddies Jars, and much more!), to their siblings (we call them Super Sibs!) with our personalized Sibling packs, to our family packs filled with family fun, to our Power Packs which are room makeovers so kids in the hospitals can have a NEGU inspired hospital room, and finally to our month of Hope where we offer financial assistance to families struggles to make ends meet.
In our efforts to care for Courageous Kids fighting cancer and their families, all funds raised during this event will go directly to programs to help fulfill our mission.
