Our mission is to provide each child who has suffered abuse with justice, hope and healing.  We use a multi-disciplinary team approach that allows Crimes Against Children Detectives, Child Protective Invesitgators, Prosecutors, Juvenile Services and Cook Children's Medical Center's CARE Team to work collaboratively with our Center staff, who provide Forensic Interviews, Trauma Assessments, Crisis Intervention, work with Therapy Dogs and K-9 Advocates, Individual-Family-Group Counseling, assistance with Crime Victim's Compensation, resource referrals, court school and trial accompaniment, special programs which include Summer Safety Camp, Christmas Wish and My Safe Space.  We also provide prevention curriculum for our school districts and training for educational professionals on recognizing and reporting abuse.  We facilitate our county's Child Fatality Review Team, who staff all child deaths and work together to put countwide prevention efforts in place to prevent deaths.

We hope our prevention efforts will put us out of the business of serving so many kids who have suffered felony level abuse.  We serve child victims of sexual abuse, severe physical abuse, child pornography, child sex trafficking and children who have witnessed a homicide or other violent crime.
