The purpose of the JTHS West Choir Parents Association (CPA) is to support the Joliet West High School Choir program through volunteering and fundraising. The major activities we are involved with include:
The CPA promotes and raises local community interest and awareness of vocal music by publicizing choral events in the community, soliciting donations for raffle baskets and ads for musical.
The CPA holds parent meetings and uses email/facebook to promote communication between the director and the parents or guardians of vocal music students.
The CPA orders music, purchases uniforms/material for costumes, sponsors an end of year banquest, and subsidizes choir events/trips to assist the director in the operation and maintenance of the vocal music program.
The CPA holds fundraisers (sales, benefit dinner, choir competition) throughout the year to provide financial aid for vocal music program activities.
