Students will be given opportunities to develop a sense of pride in being a citizen of Illinois as well as the United States. Jonesboro Elementary School District 43 has the purpose of helping to raise educated citizens who will be employed, self-motivated, and problem-solvers.

Our school's Beta Club's mission shall be to promote the ideals of character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students, to reward meritorious achievement and to encourage and assist students in continuing their education after high school.  Our local Beta Club provides junior high students to compete in academic competitions while focusing on character, achievement, leadership, and service.

Since our school is located in a rural and underserved area, our Beta Club is raising funds to attend the National Beta Club Convention.  Many of our students have qualified to compete in these national competitions.
