Journey School aims to serve children with differing abilities in Spring, Texas. Journey School empowers children to reach their full potential, encourages family involvement and a family environment, and educates
on an individual basis according to s gifts and abilities. Journey School currently has 47 students with a wide range of disabilities including Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and other genetic conditions. Students at Journey School have different support needs and these are provided by teachers, paraprofessionals, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists and behavioral specialists. Students participate in all school subjects, bible time, life skills, and community inclusion at all grade levels and to the best of their ability. Families are encouraged to participate in monthly meetings with each other for support and encouragement as well as to learn about community resources. Journey School fills a need in the community for families and children to feel supported, loved, and valued!
