The organization has nearly 500 members throughout the Twin Cities. Our mission is focused on closing the opportunity gap, we work with a variety of organizations to focus on math, reading, science, and art programs. We have a weekly after school program at the homeless shelter People Serving People where we work on reading comprehension and art activities. Another program is at the Women's Prison in Shakopee where we record books with female caregivers while they are incarcerated to share with their children to help strengthen the relationship through their period of separation. To enhance science we run a program called HOMES (Hands-on-Math, Engineering, and Science) that brings science and math activities to our partners at the Partnership Academy in Richfield and public schools through GEMS/GISE (Girls in Engineering Mathematics and Guys in Science and Engineering).
