We provide routine and emergency medical services for pets, street animals, and working animals. Our staff are on site for 24/7 intake and can provide animal retrieval in Kabul City if needed, security allowing. Our facilities include quarantine areas to safely treat contagious diseases commonly found in Afghanistan, a recently renovated medical and surgical clinic, and long-term boarding and animal sanctuary spaces. Emergency Services Available 24-hours per day, 7 days a week Orphaned puppy and kitten care Skin diseases, including leishmaniasis and mange Traumatic injuries, including those caused by car accidents Chemotherapy for dogs afflicted with TVT (transmissible venereal tumors) Common viral infections, including canine parvovirus and distemper and feline panleukopenia Routine Services and Programs Medical Care for Pets Routine wellness checks Spay/neuter surgery Vaccinations Dental cleanings Microchips Basic grooming and nail trims Anti-parasitic treatments for deworming and flea/tick prevention Feline TNVR On a per-case basis, we work with organizations and compounds to humanely trap, neuter, vaccinate, and release their feline populations to help maintain a healthy stable cat population.
We do not provide local relocation services. Rabies Reporting If rabies is suspected in any street animal, locations and photos or video can be sent to KSAR staff at any time. During normal working hours we will forward to the appropriate organizations and authorities. After-hours rabies-suspected cases will be assessed and picked up by trained, fully vaccinated staff and managed in accordance with local regulations.
K9 Services We provide on-site or clinic-based routine and emergency veterinary care for working dogs regardless of owner or operator. Our in-house K9 expert can provide assessments of kennel setups, animal husbandly, and training. We can also provide relocation services for animals being retired to homes or K9-oriented rescues.
