Hello!
My name is Debbie Beck-Siddiqui, I am a co-founder of KAMS Foundation, Inc. KAMS stands for Kids Affirmation through Mentoring & Sports. KAMS Foundation was founded to reflect my son, Kamran’s, heart and fulfill a dream of his, after he tragically passed away at the age of 22 in a motorcycle accident last year. My inspiration was to take all the wonderful qualities my son possessed and pass them on to as many children as possible in order to help them acheive success in their lives and to allow his great love for others to go on. We are a California-based 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to affirm and empower underprivileged youth through sports while providing mentorship and educational opportunities for life skills and character development. Through this development, KAMS encourages youth to love others, dream big, be passionate, embrace confidence, have fun, and excel in the game of life.
Our Benefit Gala and Auction will be held June 9, 2018. Our goal with this event is to fund our “Youth Empowerment Program” and expand our reach to more youth. This program involves helping youth achieve competencies involved in the social and emotional learning process. We have purchased a research based curriculum on Character Development, that is proven to work. KAMS’s team spends time with the youth, educating and providing them with four core ideals (AFFIRMATION, MENTORSHIP, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, LIFE SKILLS), and providing resources to aid in their development. The learning process is facilitated through a hands-on, experiential learning environment that involves activities and sports
Many challenges with our youth in today’s environment can be traced to a lack of character, life skills, affirmation or self worth, and positive mentorship. These challenges include bullying, disrespect, cheating, vandalism, profanity, and drug use. These challenges ultimately hinder childhood development, student achievement, safety, and the overall health and well being of our future generation. KAMS Foundations’ Youth Empowerment Program strives to make a difference for these youth individually and our society as a whole.
KAMS Foundation Benefit Gala and Auction, will be held at Los Serranos Country Club in Chino Hills, California, we anticipate approximately 350 people in attendance. We will have both a live and silent auction featuring unique items at the event. The demographic of this event appeals to those with disposable income.
