Since 1909, KAD is a volunteer based non-profit that has worked tirelessly to protect, preserve, and promote the civil, human, linguistic, Deaf Gains, and rights of Deaf and Deaf-Blind Kansans. KAD represents an estimated 242,000 Deaf Kansans, at least fifteen percent of Kansas's population.
