Hello,
I am Sarah Christoplis, auction coordinator for the Kennedie June Von Ryan Foundation, and we are hosting a large fundraising event this Summer. Our 2nd Annual Summer Bash will be held at The Links at Summerly in Lake Elsinore on May 30, 2020 at 6pm. We are raising funds to provide scholarships to high school senior athletes looking to further their education in college.
Kennedie June Von Ryan passed away in a tragic car accident in October of 2018, at the age of 17. She had a passion for playing water polo and supporting her teams and fellow students and friends through her inspiration, commitment, respect, love, and compassion. She was to graduate in June of 2019 and planned on attending college to study education and business, while continuing her passion for playing water polo at a Division I college. To honor her, the Kennedie June Von Ryan Foundation was formed. The foundation’s goal is to provide student athletes college scholarships at each of the high schools in the Lake Elsinore Unified School District. Additionally, we hope to provide athletic opportunities for youth who may not otherwise be able to participate in athletics.
We are currently planning our second annual summer bash. To make this event a success, we are asking for donations for the silent auction. All donations are tax deductible (tax ID#: 83-3829723). Auctions are a great way for us to raise funds from donations, while also allowing recipients to try out new businesses or experiences, so any donation would help. We would greatly appreciate any donation that you can provide. Last years event was a huge success and we were able to provide 5 local students with scholarships. This year, we are planning to surpass last and offer more scholarships to deserving students. We would also love it if you could join us at this event, which is sure to be a great time. This is a 21 and older event where we will have a DJ, fun appetizer bars, cigar bar, and no-host bars.
