Established in 1965, the Kenosha Literacy Council, a non-profit agency, trains volunteer tutors to teach adults, who want to learn to read, write and speak English. This year we are celebrating 57 years of providing literacy education to adults in Kenosha County. Each year we provide thousands of hours of English literacy education to 500+ adult learners. 100% of the adult learners improved their English communication skills. Literate adults are able to contribute to their families and their communities, while improving their employment opportunities. The Kenosha Literacy Council is registered as a 501(c) 3 charitable organization with the Internal Revenue Service.
