We are a nonprofit organization that serves kids whose parents have been affected by cancer. Despite cancer usually only affecting one member of the family, cancer is a family disease. These kids are expected to adpot parental roles in the blink of an eye - the attention is on their parent rather than them. Kesem makes sure that these kids feel loved and a bit like their old selves. We provide them yearround programming, grief support, and then run a free one week sleepaway camp. Kesem is the only organization that helps this underserved population.
