Article 2: Purpose
Section 1: To promote, further, and advance the development of Band musicians, and to
encourage participation and stimulate interest among students in the public school
system of Fauquier County, Virginia, and specifically at Kettle Run High School (KRHS)
and its feeder schools.
Section 2: To provide support to the general Band program of Kettle Run High School.
Section 3: To recognize outstanding achievement in musicianship, to encourage high
standards of learning in music, and to provide scholarship benefits to graduating
students of Kettle Run High School.
Section 4: To do all that is necessary and proper for the accomplishment of these
purposes, to the highest degree of efficiency, in full cooperation with the administration
and the instrumental music staff of Kettle Run High School.
Section 5: This Association is organized within the Commonwealth of Virginia and
operated exclusively for the above stated purposes and for non-profit, charitable
purposes only. No part of any net earnings of the Association shall benefit any member
or members of the Association, other than students.
